There's a person on the other end of this form, and we read every message that comes through it. Whether you've spotted a typo in a species page, want to send us a stunning shot of a backyard cardinal, or you're a brand wondering if we'd be a fit, you're in the right place.
Before you fill out the form, a quick favour: a lot of things have a faster door. If yours is below, that route will get you a better answer, sooner.
We're a small flock. Pointing your message to the right place is the kindest thing you can do for both of us.
These three are the most common reasons people write in, and each has a dedicated page built to handle it properly:
- Spotted something wrong? If a fact, figure, or photo on a bird page looks off, send it through Submit a Correction (/submit-correction/). It captures exactly what we need to check and fix it, and corrections go to our editors directly. We take accuracy seriously and we'd genuinely rather know.
- Have a great bird photo? We'd love to see it. Share it through Submit a Photo (/submit-photo/) and approved shots can appear in the community feed and on matching species pages, always credited to you.
- Need help identifying a bird? Skip the form entirely. The Identify a Bird tool (/bird-id/) narrows it down from every bird on Earth in a few quick questions, and the community can help at Help Me ID a Bird (/help-id/).

Kind words, hard questions, a bird story you can't stop thinking about, an idea for a guide, a bug on the site, or a note that just says hi: this is the form for all of it. Tell us as much as you can up front. Screenshots help, links help, and which bird page or tool you're on helps most of all.
We read every message and reply to the ones that need one. We aim to get back within a few business days, though a flood of emails after a big bird day can stretch that a little. We promise we're not ignoring you.

Common questions
How long until I hear back?
We read every message that comes in and reply to the ones that need a reply, usually within a few business days. We're a small team, so a busy stretch can add a day or two. If your note is time-sensitive (a press deadline, for example), say so in the subject line and we'll move it up the queue.
I found a mistake on a bird page. Should I use this form?
Please use Submit a Correction (/submit-correction/) instead — it's built for exactly this and routes straight to our editors with the details they need. We'd much rather know than not, and visible, welcomed corrections are part of how we work.
Can I send you a photo?
Yes, and thank you. Use Submit a Photo (/submit-photo/) rather than the contact form so your image and credit are captured properly. Approved photos can appear in our community feed and on matching species pages, always credited to you.
Can you help me identify a bird?
The fastest way is our Identify a Bird tool (/bird-id/), which narrows things down from every bird on Earth in a few questions. If you'd like a human eye, post it to Help Me ID a Bird (/help-id/) and the community will weigh in.
