When is the next RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch?
The next dates have not been announced by RSPB yet. Usually the last full weekend of January.
The RSPB says registration for Big Garden Birdwatch 2027 opens on 9 December 2026.
The last RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch was held on 23–25 January 2026.
How to take part
- Choose one hour over the count weekend.
- Count the birds that land in your garden, on your balcony or in a local park — not the ones flying over.
- Submit your results to the RSPB. Taking part is free and you do not need to be a member.
